The Vineyard
The grapes were handpicked in early hours of the morning from Delaire Graff Estate’s mountain vineyards. All grapes were extensively hand sorted to ensure only the best quality is used for wine making.
The Harvest
Faced with severe drought, the challenging conditions of the 2018 harvest resulted in one of the smallest yields in years. Yet despite the significant difficulties, the cooler ripening period and smaller crops produced berries with concentrated flavour and intense colour providing wines of notable quality
The Cellar
The wine was produced with meticulous care hand sorting, whole berry fermentation, gentle extraction of fruit, basket pressed, matured in 80% new French oak barrels for 18 months and a rigorous selection
to decide on only the best.
