The Vineyard
The farm is located in Vilachán (Tomiño-Pontevedra) 42º north latitude and 8º 46 ‘west longitude. Its altitude above sea level ranges from 60 to 350 m. The distance to the river Miño is 3.5 km and to the Atlantic Ocean 10 km. It is a south-facing slope, between the Bravos and Pego streams.
Although close to the sea and the river Miño, its location in the middle of the slope means that it is not affected by the fogs or the cold that exist on the peaks. The south orientation guarantees good sunshine, which contributes to a perfect ripening of the grapes.
Soft all year round, but especially in summer. The mild summer temperatures make the grape ripen slowly, preserving all its varietal aromas and an important acidity, necessary for the production of fresh and fruity wines.
The granite, sandy and very permeable soil allows to obtain very fine wines capable of highlighting the varietal aromas to the maximum.
